Welcome to Code Remote! Before you access our services, please read these Terms of Service.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Code Remote and any associated websites or services (together, "Services"). These Terms are a contract between you and Example PBC (yes, that's our actual corporate name) ("Example PBC," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our Services, you agree to these Terms.
Please read our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use personal information.
1. Who We Are
Example PBC develops products driven by increasingly powerful AI for the long-term benefit of humanity. Code Remote is a demo application and is not production software.
2. Account Creation and Access
Minimum age. You must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required to consent to use the Services in your location, whichever is higher.
Account security. You are responsible for any activity under your account.
3. Use of Our Services
Acceptable use. You agree not to:
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Use the Services to attack or harm other systems
- Circumvent security measures
- Use the Services for illegal purposes
- Engage in excessive automated usage that degrades the Services for others
Credentials you provide. You may choose to provide API keys, session IDs, or other credentials when using the Services. You do so at your own risk. While we encrypt stored credentials and have taken reasonable security measures (which you can verify in our open source code), we are not liable for any leaks, unauthorized access, or damages resulting from credentials you store in this demo application. We recommend using temporary credentials with a limited scope of access.
GitHub integration. If you connect a GitHub account, you authorize us to access the GitHub installation as permitted by the GitHub app permissions.
4. Feedback
You have no obligation to give us feedback, but if you do, you agree that we may use the feedback however we choose without any obligation or payment to you.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that your data will be preserved, or that the Services will meet your needs.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Example PBC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services.
7. Termination
You may stop accessing the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time without notice to you if we believe that you have breached these Terms, or if we must do so to comply with law.
We may also terminate your account for any other reason, including inactivity. Upon termination, we may at our option delete any data associated with your account.
This is a demo application. Your account and all associated data may be deleted at any time without notice. If we update these Terms or our Privacy Policy, we may delete all accounts and sessions in the demo database.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. In Case of Disputes
Equitable relief. You agree that (a) no adequate remedy exists at law if you breach Section 3 (Use of Our Services); (b) it would be difficult to determine the damages resulting from such breach, and any such breach would cause irreparable harm; and (c) a grant of injunctive relief provides the best remedy for any such breach. You waive any opposition to such injunctive relief, as well as any demand that we prove actual damage or post a bond or other security in connection with such injunctive relief.
Governing law and exclusive jurisdiction. These Terms will be governed by, and construed and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of California without giving effect to conflict of law principles. You and Example PBC agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, and you and Example PBC submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. By accessing our Services, you waive any claims that may arise under the laws of other jurisdictions.
10. Export Controls and Sanctions
The Services are operated from the United States. You represent that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of any country subject to U.S. trade sanctions, and that you are not on any U.S. government restricted party list. You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws.
11. General
Entire agreement. These Terms and any other terms expressly incorporated by reference form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the subject matter of these Terms.
Severability. If a particular term or portion of these Terms is not valid or enforceable, this will have no effect on any other terms.
No waiver. Any delay or failure on our part to enforce a provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce them later.
No assignment. These Terms may not be transferred or assigned by you without our prior written consent, but may be assigned by us without restriction.
Use of our brand. You may not, without our prior written permission, use our name, logos, or other trademarks in connection with products or services other than the Services, or in any other way that implies our affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship.
